meeg_utils.qc.Digitization#

class meeg_utils.qc.Digitization[source]#

Electrode positions, head digitization and head-to-sensor distance.

  • EEG channels without positions cannot be interpolated or plotted.

  • A sphere fitted to the digitized head shape (mne.bem.fit_sphere_to_headshape()) should have a plausible radius (50-108.5 mm, the range MNE accepts) and a centre near the head-frame origin (within 20 mm in x/y, where MNE warns).

  • For MEG, the device-to-head transform must have been measured, and the distance between the head (sphere surface) and the sensors is reported: a large gap lowers the signal-to-noise ratio.

metrics_#

n_points by kind, eeg_without_position, head_radius_mm, origin_mm, and for MEG min_gap_mm / median_gap_mm.

Type:

dict

Notes

Figures: "headshape" (digitized points, fitted sphere and MEG sensors in three views).

__init__()#

Methods

__init__()

compute(raw)

Measure the recording.

get_metadata_routing()

Get metadata routing of this object.

get_params([deep])

Get parameters for this estimator.

not_applicable(raw)

Return why the check cannot run on raw, or None if it can.

plot([kind, inst])

Draw quality-control figures.

set_params(**params)

Set the parameters of this estimator.

Attributes

level

The worst verdict of the findings ("ok" if there are none).

modalities

Data types the check needs at least one of ("meg", "eeg").

name

Key of the check in reports.

plot_kinds

kind -> whether it needs data (inst).

systems

Acquisition systems the check applies to; None means all.

name: ClassVar[str] = 'digitization'#

Key of the check in reports.

plot_kinds: ClassVar[dict[str, bool]] = {'headshape': False}#

kind -> whether it needs data (inst). Each kind is drawn by a _plot_<kind>(inst, **kwargs) method.

Type:

Figures the object can draw once fitted
